Adaptive Construction Engine
The ACE has four fire modes. The first deploys a remote mine akin to a bomb with a detonator. The player deploys the mine and then triggers the detonation at his or her leisure. This is a great defensive weapon as well as an offensive tool. The Second fire mode deploys a proximity mine that explodes automatically when an enemy comes within its range. The third fire mode will deploy a proximity automated turret known as a Spitfire Turret. This turret has armor piercing rounds but is quite capable of dealing with enemy soldiers. The final fire mode serves two purposes. In it's standard form, it will deploy a proximity motion sensor which when triggered places the enemy on your proximity radar essentially allowing friendly forces to see where the enemy is on their map. The second purpose mode is called a Sensor Disruptor and is accessible by pressing the default 'X' key while in the fourth fire mode. This sensor disruptor protects vehicles and soldiers within its area of effect from coming up on radar. A great tool to use for your AMS + Router combo.
Body Armor Nano Kit
The BANK has two fire modes. The first allows for repairing friendly soldiers and MAX units while the second allows the soldier to repair his or herself.
Command Uplink Device
The CUD does not have any fire modes. Instead it has a display which offers options on what you would like to use it for. Option one is a reveal on friendly forces which displays the location of friendly forces on your map for a limited time. Once triggered an instant shot of where forces are currently is displayed. As forces move about the battle field this instant shot will not update. Option two makes use of the EMP feature available to anyone with a Command Rank of 3 or better. Option three allows for the reveal of enemy forces which is also available to a Command Rank of 3 or better. As the "Reveal Friendlies" function works, the "Reveal Enemies" once triggered will display an instant shot of where enemy forces are currently for a limited time. As forces move about the battle field this instant shot will not update. Option four allows for the call of an Orbital Strike and is available to Command Ranks of 4 or better. See our "CEP Brokendown" section for CUD related details.
Medical Applicator
The Med App has two fire modes. The first allows for healing friendly soldiers and MAX units while the second allows the soldier to heal his or herself. If the soldier has the 'Advanced Medical' certification, the first fire mode will also allow that soldier to fully resurrect a fallen ally. See our "PlanetSide Certifications; What do you want to be when you grow up?" section for more information regarding certificates.
Medkit
Nano Dispenser
Additionally, if you have the Fortification Engineer Certification you can use the Nano Dispenser in conjunction with an upgrade canister to alter base Wall Turrets into more formidable machines. See our "Advanced Engineer" section for more specifics.
Remote Electronics Kit
Although anyone can hack those three items, players certified in further hacking skills can use this tool to hack even more items including enemy equipment terminals and even enemy vehicles. For more information on the benefits of the hacking certifications please view our "Stop Hacking! Hacker!" section.
T-REK
More information on the T-REK and all it can do is found in our "Stop Hacking! Hacker!" section.
Laze Pointer
The waypoint generated by a laze pointer appears as a yellow circle with the number 1 centered on it on the map. It also displays a waypoint on the game field similar to any other waypoint. Lazed targets will stay on the map for 15 seconds before the waypoint disappears.
