What in the name of all that's good is an implant?
Implant Slots are where cybernetic devices known as Implants are surgically implanted within your character. These devices can endow you with super human abilities such as Surge, which allows for a brief but explosive burst of running speed or the Personal Shield implant, which when activated gives your character a temporary force field to protect them from damage.
Your character can earn up to a maximum amount of three Implant Slots available at BR 6, BR12, and BR18 but beware, Implants when activated, can quickly use up your stamina leaving you drained and unable to run.
Implants may be installed via Implant Terminals in the HART building in your Sanctuary or via any Friendly Bio-Lab type base across all ten continents.
Note: Implants may be "Surgically" installed via the game's description but there's no doctor required to put them on or take them off. Simply go to the terminal and select which ones you like and remove which ones you don't like. There is no limit or timer for this so we recommend you experiment with all of them as much as you want until you find what is right for you. Included in this Implant section is a brief sub-description as how we feel about each implant. They are labeled FDT for Feminine Divinity Tip and should be taken as an opinion susceptible to debate.
Miscellaneous Information: Although having the hacking certification gives players the ability to hack an enemy Implant Terminal, only an Implant Terminal that is associated with your empire may be used.
Audio Amplifier
Amplifies footsteps of nearby enemy soldiers, allowing onboard systems to analyze that sound and place enemy soldier locations on your personal radar, thus revealing their position when they are running.
FDT: This implant would earn our silver star if we had one and is great in aiding you to know where the enemy is. Highly recommended to troops that wish to be in the thick of battle.
Darklight Vision
Greatly reduces your normal visibility while simultaneously shifting your perceptions to allow you to see cloaked enemies in an area around you.
FDT: We at FD have never had problems with seeing or spying cloakers on the move. We're not trying to fluff our pom poms by saying that it is scientifically proven that women can determine different shades of color easier than men. This may or may not be a reason we don't seem to have difficulty in seeing a cloaker even at a crouch walk. So personally none of us have bothered to use it for long periods of time. However there were those times when we wished we had it. The use of this implant will be based on whether or not you seem to feel you need it or not.
Enhanced Targeting
Allows you to see the name and health of enemy characters under your reticule. It also reveals the names of enemies within a vehicle, as well as revealing enemy deployables at a greater range.
NOTE: This implant does not drain stamina.
FDT: This implant earns our gold star and is a Feminine Divinity #1 pick. It uses no stamina while its on so we suggest you always have it on when available.
Melee Booster
Greatly enhances the damage of your knife when it hits by adding a +25 base damage modifier. Advantageous to those who like to attack lone enemies up close and personal.
FDT: This implant uses 10 of your stamina for each swing you take regardless if you hit or not. Becareful of missing otherwise you'll find yourself with no stamina left and a possibly enraged enemy knocking back at your doorstep. This implant is good for cloakers that wish to get personal with knives.
Personal Shield
Harnesses your stamina and turns it into a personal force field that blocks incoming damage on a one for one basis.
FDT: Personal Shield is considered by many to be a cheap tactic because it affords players extra health to deal with their enemies. Regardless of whether we agree with that statement or not, Feminine Divinity requests any and all of her members to not use this implant.
Range Magnifier
Used instead of a weapon's normal zoom function, but has much greater capacity. Zoom levels are 4x, 8x, and 12x.
NOTE: This implant does not drain stamina.
FDT: Consider this implant if you intend to snipe a lot otherwise it doesn't have much more use.
Regeneration
Allows you to use stamina points to quickly regenerate missing Health points at the cost of two Stamina points for each Health point regained.
FDT: Experiment with this implant to see if you like it, we personally felt it was unnecessary and a waste of an implant slot but if you intend to stay out of harm's way and perhaps snipe or something similar, this could be for you.
Second Wind
When you're on the brink of death, the Second Wind implant automatically strips stamina away to boost Health to safer levels. After each use, a recharge period must elapse before Second Wind can be used again.
FDT: There is no image of this implant because it does not appear on the HUD (Heads Up Display) hotbar. It's a passive Implant that cannot be activated or deactivated.
Sensor Shield
Uses ECM technology to screen you from motion sensors, Mosquito overflight radar, and most radar when not operating equipment. If you use any item, or take damage, your Sensor Shield will temporarily fail, revealing you on the Proximity Maps of enemy soldiers.
FDT: Don't confuse this implant with Personal Shield. This shield hides you from radar and is extremely effective especially for dedicated infiltrators (cloakers) attempting to go behind enemy lines.
Surge
This implant boosts your foot speed by draining your stamina to power enhanced leg units. The bulkier the armor being worn, the more stamina required to achieve the Surge in speed. No items may be equipped while Surge is in use, so care must be taken when using this implant near combat situations.
FDT: Another Feminine Divinity favorite. This implant helps players get out of harms way or quickly run to a downed spawn room or generator.
