BEP; What is it? BEP is a shorthand for Battle Experience Points which is essentially... well experience. If you have ever played an RPG (Role-Playing Game) where you gain experience points and you need X amount of experience points to gain your next level then this is just like that. RPG games you may be familiar with are games such as the Final Fantasy Series, Kingdom Hearts Series, Everquest Series, even the most popular Word of Warcraft. Yes PlanetSide is a MMOFPS (Massive Multi-player Online First Person Shooter) computer game but it utilizes a leveling system as well. That leveling system however is altered to fit into the genre that is PlanetSide. For example in an RPG, a level 70 may be able to one hit kill a level 10. Well in PlanetSide your level only offers you more certifications for more weapons, vehicles, or better armor, and it offers you additional Implants and even different character armor looks. The level has nothing to do with skill and it does not afford you some spontaneous advantage in how often someone will or will not hit you. A level 1 in PlanetSide can still kill a level 40 (the highest level in PlanetSide) with ease and vice versa. There's no, "Well I'm level 20 and he's only level 5 so he shouldn't be able to kill me" silliness in this game. If he or she can shoot at you, they can kill you. Period. BEP brokendown by each level
